Writing naturally & precise examples

“I need lists containing list items. Each list item has a name and a completed toggle. Let me add and edit list items, search by name, and filter by completion.”

List and List item are neutral starting labels. Rename them for your product; custom labels do not change the underlying structure. Clear clauses build the preview; underlined phrases open meaning choices. You can choose an answer or explain in your own words. Use Meaning & schema to read and edit the interpreted facts.

Lists have many List items.
List items have title:text, active:boolean.
Search List items.
Filter List items by active.
List items can create, read, update, delete.
List item examples: List item 1 | List item 2.

Write freely. Recognized statements update instantly; AI maps other sentences after you pause. Unmapped text remains visible and is never discarded.

Export your prototype

A complete handoff for a coding or Figma agent: working prototype, objects and mappings, layout and styles, screens and flows.

The agent should follow your instructions at import time. Includes distinct task screens; skips hover, error and repetitive state variations. Sample records are included.

Unzip and share the folder with your agent. For Figma, start with FIGMA_GUIDE.md. To reopen here, import project.studio.json or handoff.json.

Design system

Extract reusable styles from a screenshot or exported Figma frame. Or describe a style to create a system.

Link saved as provenance. Attach an exported frame image; this is not a live Figma connection.

Generate sends this image and brief to OpenAI. No description is needed with an image. Applying changes styles across Craft, preserving your content and layout.

Four views, one model

The workspace opens with Text, Schema, and Layout in a 1:1:2 split. Use the view buttons in the top header to change visible panes, or expand a pane to focus it. Drag a view’s corner handle to resize; adjacent views share the available space. Double-click a handle to reset, or focus it and use arrow keys. Click a view’s expand arrow to focus it. Opening object details temporarily hides Text and Craft; closing the drawer restores your previous views.

Type in Text. Recognized requirements update immediately. If AI is enabled, other sentences are interpreted after a pause and unclear requirements become questions.

Dictate in the Text header toggles English voice input. Allow microphone access when prompted. Finalized speech is inserted at the text cursor and interpreted like typed text; live speech appears temporarily beneath the toolbar. Stop ends dictation. Typing, switching projects or leaving the tab stops listening. Browser support varies; use keyboard dictation if unavailable. Audio is processed by your browser’s speech service and may be sent to its provider. Semantic does not store audio.

Schema edits rewrite only the corresponding requirements. Dragging cards organizes the diagram; changing a connector changes the relationship. Use the ↑ / ↓ screen-order buttons in the inspector to reorder navigation.

Focus in the Layout header temporarily hides the app header and shows Layout alone. Exit focus or Escape restores your previous views. The user tabs remain available above the Layout controls. When Layout is shown alone, device presets sit to the right of the layout controls.

Desktop, Tablet and Mobile in the Layout column preview 1280 × 800, 768 × 1024 and 390 × 844 viewports. Drag the right edge of any preview to resize its width. Content reflows at actual size. Device buttons restore preset proportions within the available column width. Expand the Layout pane for a wider canvas. The device selection stays in this browser and does not change your specification.

Schema shows all user roles together. The tabs beneath the Layout heading switch Layout and Craft to one user perspective. Actions belong to the named user; related objects describe their relationships. Diagram starts with all users and can be filtered to one. User switching changes the preview context without rewriting the specification. These are prototype action rules, not backend authorization or per-record access filtering.

Layout and Craft display the same selected screen and sample data. Search, filters, sorting, record editing and relation selectors work locally. They are a prototype, not a connected product backend.

Hover Navigation or Content and scroll to cycle their values instantly. Hover a Craft preset and scroll to cycle its allowed states. These shortcuts are always active; dropdowns still work.

Design system extracts approximate visual tokens from a screenshot using OpenAI, or creates a system from a style brief. Craft styles save separately from the specification and never write to the freeform text. Review before applying. Figma frames currently require an exported screenshot; links are provenance only. Import and export reusable SEMANTIC token JSON.

The left rail holds saved project instances in this browser. + starts a new blank project in a numbered series; Hover or focus a project tile to duplicate it as the next letter. Edits autosave within the active tile. Hover or focus a tile to reveal its delete button. Deleting the final project opens a new blank project. Example creates a new series with sample content. Export packages the current instance with a runnable prototype, resolved schema, mappings, layout/style settings, distinct screens, flows, and coding/Figma agent guides. Choose Project JSON only for a backup. Import accepts project.studio.json or handoff.json from the extracted ZIP. Your text, schema positions, decisions, styles and sample data are saved in this browser. Export to move them elsewhere.
